EURAGIL is a prospective, longitudinal multicentre study investigating the long-term effects of endoscopic ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation as a minimally invasive technique offering an alternative to conventional treatment, which in most cases consists of surgery.
EUS-Guided Radiofrequency Ablation for the Treatment of Inoperable Pancreatic Cancer – A Prospective Study (PERFECT)
PERFECT is a prospective, interventional multicentre study investigating whether endoscopic ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation is a safe and effective adjunct to standard palliative therapy in patients with inoperable pancreatic cancer, with a focus on survival, local tumour control, symptoms, and quality of life.

PERIODOCAN is a registry-based multicentre cohort study investigating the role of periodontitis in the development of pancreatic cancer, as well as how periodontitis may increase the risk of complications following treatment, recurrence, and mortality in patients with pancreatic cancer.

REMIMAZOLAM
A PhD project initiated in autumn 2025 in collaboration with the Department of Anaesthesiology, investigating the use of patient-controlled sedation with Remimazolam. The aim is to evaluate safety, patient satisfaction, and logistical advantages in endoscopic practice.
Implementation of Virtual Reality Technology in Connection with Colonoscopy
A randomised clinical study conducted in 2023 investigating the effect of virtual reality headsets on anxiety, pain, and discomfort as an adjunct to sedation during colonoscopy. The project has been completed, and VR headsets are expected to be implemented in clinical practice.
