IMMUNONET workshop “Public-Private Partnerships in Immuno-Oncology”

On Monday November 5, 2018 IMMUNONET hosted a workshop on public-private partnerships in immuno-oncology. The workshop took place at COBIS A/S in Copenhagen with approximately 80 participants from all of Denmark. The purpose of IMMUNONET is to promote research in cancer immunotherapy by compiling clinical, translational, and basic research in the field, and IMMUNONET therefore seeks to connect immuno-oncology research environments based at universities, hospitals, and private companies. The workshop featured a keynote presentation by Martin Bonde, CEO of Vaccibody AS and previous Chairman of the Board of Directors at Dansk Biotek, on his experiences with biotech spin-offs from basic science discoveries at public institutions. The program also included eleven short presentations by different biotech companies and public research institutions working in the field and ended with a light networking dinner.
