IMMUNONET inaugural conference

On June 13, 2018 the inaugural conference for the national cross-disciplinary research network in cancer immunotherapy, IMMUNONET, took place at the Novo Nordisk Foundation in Copenhagen with 120 participants from all parts of the country. The purpose of IMMUNONET is to promote research in cancer immunotherapy by compiling clinical, translational, and basic research in the field, linking researchers from the fields of clinical oncology/hematology, cancer immunology, and bioinformatics. The conference featured a keynote lecture by Professor Catherine J. Wu from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School in Boston, as well as several Danish researchers from the field of cancer immunotherapy. Professor Inge Marie Svane, Director at the DCCC associated National Center for Cancer Immune Therapy (CCIT-DK) at Herlev Hospital, presented the latest results on adoptive T cell therapy with tumor infiltrating lymphocytes as well as the many ongoing clinical trials applying this therapeutic approach.
