As part of this collaboration, both departments will undergo accreditation by the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI). OECI accreditation is an internationally recognized quality assessment that places high demands on interdisciplinary collaboration, patient involvement, clinical excellence, and research. The accreditation serves as a widely recognized mark of quality for comprehensive cancer centers in Europe.

The accreditation visit is taking place in April 2026.
