Nina Geiker - CV
Nina is since February 2015 been employed as Senior Researcher in EFFECT and has since 2013 been Post.Doc. in EFFECT. Her background is a MSc degree in Human Nutrition, however, most of her practical nutritional experience is within clinical and hospital settings. Nina holds a Ph.D. from the University of Copenhagen, "Optimizing patient nutrition".
Nina´s primary areas of interest are prevention of disease and optimizing foetal programming with altering dietary components. Nina is at EFFECT project leader of several dietary interventions, e.g. APPROACH, MEMMARED.
Arne Astrup - CV
Arne is a Doctor of Medical Science, Ph.D. by background, and he has over 25 years' experience in clinical research conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice. Currently, Arne is also the Director of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports at Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen.
Arne's major research areas are physiology and pathophysiology of energy and substrate metabolism with special emphasis on the etiology and treatment of obesity. Arne is a RTD-leader/ participant in EU-projects: EUROSTARCH, CARMEN, NUGENOB, DIABESITY, DIOGENES, EMOB, and HEALTHGRAIN.
Arne has over 460 peer-reviewed original, review, and editorial publications (citations-H-index: 62), and more than 900 other academic publications such as textbook chapters, scientific abstracts and letters.
Anne Marie Beck - CV
Anne Marie joined EFFECT in July 2011 as a Senior Researcher. Anne Marie is a Registered Dietitian, a master in Gerontology and holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Copenhagen.
Her main research field is nutrition in old age. More specifically, the impact of undernutrition on functional abilities of frail old people and the benefits of (multifaceted) nutritional interventions. One specific area of focus is the quality of the meal service provided to old people in home-care and nursing homes.
Tina is one of the founders of our research unit EFFECT. She holds a MSc degree in Clinical Nutrition, and has just recently started her Ph.D. Fellowship at Aalborg University. Tina is head of the Nutritional Unit at Herlev Hospital, her position in EFFECT is Research Scientist.
Tina has extensive experience managing clinical trials, developing study protocols, managing the collection and analysis of diet, and holding oral presentations. Her main research interests include the effect of optimal diet on disease and functional health.
Clinical dietician since 1987, registered since 1997.
Annette has more than 20 years of experience with clinical research projects and medical investigations in conduct with Good Clinical Practice. Primary focus has been on the dietary treatment of obesity and related diseases and nutritional treatment of under- and malnourished elderly and frail patients. More recently the area of focus has been on optimizing the pregnancy in obese women and the child's late health.
Annette is a trained counselor in dietary and lifestyle changes, and has additional training in journalism.
Signe Loftager Okkels - CV
Signe is a Bachelor of nursing science and was doing her Master thesis project in Gastronomy and Health at EFFECT from 2012-13, and following a pilot project on optimizing dysphagia foods. From December 2015 she has started as a Ph.D. student on the ELDORADO project, which aims at optimizing and testing foods for the elderly. Her key competences are sensory aspects of foods, nutrition, health and consumer surveys.
Josephine Gade - CV
Josephine has been employed as a Ph.D. student since October 2015 on the PEPOP-project, focusing on the combined effect of protein and strength exercise to older patients while hospitalized and after discharge. She holds a MSc degree in Clinical Nutrition and a BAs degree in Food Science. Josephine has participated in other research projects, and thus has experience within planning and managing randomized, controlled clinical trials in the hospital setting.
Ida Kleist Kandborg
Ida has been employed as a research assistant since April 2016 on the PEPOP-project, focusing on the combined effect of protein and strength exercise to older patients while hospitalized and after discharge. Ida holds a MSc degree in Human nutrition and a BAs degree in physiotherapy. Her main interest is within the combined effect of physical exercise and nutrition.
Cecilie Nannestad Dyekjær - CV
has a bachelor in Nutrition and Health from Metropol Copenhagen and a master in
Sports and Health from Syddansk University. She has been working as a research
assistant on the PEPOP-project since the 5th of September 2016. Earlier she has
been working on the CALM-project on the Institute of Sportsmedicin, Bispebjerg
Hospital. Her main interest is within the combined effect of physical exercise
and nutrition targeted older adults
Ditte Rokkjær Dybdal
Ditte has been employed as a research assistant on the
ELDORADO project since October 2016, which aims at optimizing and testing foods
for the elderly. In previous jobs, Ditte has
participated in a research project with focus on children's
food, taste and learning. She has developed teaching materials for home
economics in primary school and has worked with quality assurance and
evaluation of health courses for school pupils. Ditte has a Bachelor in
Nutrition and Health and a Master's degree in health promotion and education
