Antenatal classes

Our antenatal classes have been canceled so far to prevent coronavirus infection. We inform here on the page when we are ready to resume antenatal classes.

Questions and answers on novel coronavirus.

We provide antenatal classes every month for English-speaking pregnant women and their partners.

Here, midwives will inform you about what Herlev Hospital can offer you, your partner and your baby during childbirth and the first days of maternity.

  • Giving birth
  • How to get to the Admittance unit at Herlev Hospital
  • Management of pain
  • The role of the partner, friends and family
  • Other ways of delivery
  • Caesarean section
  • The newborn baby
  • Breastfeeding
  • Going home

You and your partner are welcome to ask questions during and after the session.

The course will last two and a half, maybe three hours and takes place in the Auditorium at Herlev Hospital. There will be at least one break of approximately 15 minutes.

We politely ask you not to bring children to the Antenatal classes.
