Cognitive function in children and adolescents with Tourette syndrome

The project

The project explores cognitive abilities in children and adolescents with Tourette syndrome and the impact of potential comorbidities such as ADHD and OCD. We specifically look at cognitive domains such as response inhibition, visual attention, processing of time and overall intelligence. The participants all have a diagnosis of Tourette syndrome and were examined/reexamined in the years 2006-2007 and 2011-2013. We expect to find that impairments in the cognitive domains are more related to the comorbidities, than to Tourette syndrome per se.
