The BIOPAC Biobank
The BIOPAC Biobank was established in July 2008 through nationwide collaboration between oncology, clinical biochemistry and pathology departments in Denmark.
A biobank is a facility to collect, preserve, store and supply biological samples and associated data, it follows standardized operating procedures, and provides material for scientific and clinical use. The biobank field has changed tremendously over the past thirty years; now there are thousands of biobanks around the world providing bio-specimen resources for researchers in the academic and private sectors.
