Herlev Hospital to Enlarge

In 2007, the politicians in the Greater Copenhagen Region adopted a plan for the hospitals in Greater Copenhagen. Herlev Hospital is a key player in this plan.

The hospital plan means that Herlev Hospital will be increasing its activities up to 2012.

• the total activities of the Hospital will be increased by 66%;
• the Hospital will be enlarged with new buildings for EUR 207 million;
• the Hospital will receive 350 more beds;
• the number of employees will increase from 4,000 to 6,000.
