DIMS is an educational body with primary focus on research and training activities related to doctors’ and nurses’ postgraduate education.
Our simulation based courses range from compulsory specialist classes to team training activities and they have in common the aim to contribute to enhanced patient care and patient safety across all medical specialities. We utilise a diverse range of teaching methods spanning from full scale simulation to part task simulators.
Activities at DIMS
DIMS is one of the few simulation institutes providing compulsory courses in specialist anaesthetic and intensive care training with simulation as an integrated part.
In addition, we provide obligatory courses for residents (junior doctors) in the Capital Region of Denmark: acute medicine, acute surgery, acute communication and learning in the clinical practice.
Other course are designed according to the wishes and needs of specific departments or other groups of medical personnel. Some of these courses are adapted to the requirements of one speciality, whereas others address multi professional and interdisciplinary groups and focus on team training.
